Self-Help App

Download the Mother Emanuel Self-Help mobile app. This app was designed and built for the victims of the tragic events at the historic Emanuel AME Church. This self-help app is a useful guide for survivors, people who are trying to assist or support a survivor, or for people who are speaking to children about this, and other traumatic events.

National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center

Provides trauma-focused treatment for child and adult victims of crime and other traumatic events. Phone: 843-792-8209 or toll-free at 866-472-8824

Department of Mental Health Center

Provides mental health services for severe mental illness. They offer Wrap Services counselors who take clients into social settings to teach them social skills. Provides treatment of emotional disorders.

Trident United Way 211 Hotline

Provides 24-hour counseling information and referrals for a crisis. They answer the phone for 1-800-SUICIDE and Darkness to Light and listen to people who are stressed out.
